Rollerblading, a new experience

Yesterday, I went to bishan park. It has been three years since I last went there and I could not even remember where the bike shop is. My purpose of going there was to cycle. But when I got there, the bike shop was closed. Only the rollerblades were available to be rent. Since I could not rent a bike, there was nothing else to do. I had no choice but to try rollerblading. I was hesitant at first as I have never tried it before. I still skated as I thought it would be a good experience.

I had to wear the wrist guards, knee and elbow pads and helmet. When I stood up with the rollerblades, it was extremely hard to balance and I felt as if I was going to fall anytime. It was really scary. I took my time and practised moving. I skated along the sides of the skating ring at the beginning so I could hold on to the fences in case I was going to fall. Soon when I could balance well enough, then I started travelling around the ring. It was kind of fun. As the more I tried, I could skate with it. I still feel like I would fall though. At first, it was hard for me to make myself move with the rollerblades. However after a few times of trying, I finally got the idea and I naturally started skating with it.

It was a very pleasant and satisfying experience for me. I got to try out something new in my life. It was the first time I ever tried rollerskating. Now I finally know how it feels like. Since I am going to start skateboarding soon, it was a great thing for me to try rollerblading. It was totally impromtu as I did not plan to rollerblade at all. I did not regret anyway though.

I still cycled in the later part of the day. The shop was opened a while later when I was rollerblading. It has been long since I last cycled at bishan park. I missed the days with Shaun. I cycled the whole of bishan park and the path towards bishan street 13. Cycling do gives me a sense of relaxation. It is a sport I don't mind doing.
